Is your bespoke honeymoon worth what you pay?

Are you planning a bespoke honeymoon? Is it more about the price or is it the experience?

We think of your bespoke honeymoon is an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime trip and it deserves special attention. However, I cannot tell you how many times I speak to brides and they express these sentiments:

  • I can’t afford to hire a Travel Expert

  • I must wait until I pay for the wedding to see what funds I have left

  • I book trips all the time, so I can book this myself

At the risk of being blunt and maybe stepping on toes, let me ask you…on a scale of 1-10, how important is your honeymoon?

These are the first days you will spend together as husband and wife…the only part of your wedding that is about you and your spouse!

While I can appreciate that you want your wedding to be flawlessly designed with gorgeous floral arrangements, amazing food, kick off your shoes type of dancing, etc., every component of your wedding is important. And that includes your honeymoon. The common feedback reports that brides love the beauty of the wedding and grooms look forward to the honeymoon.

Go figure!

With that in mind, we want to address both the wedding and the honeymoon with equal zest. Just as you would not likely make your own dress, bake your own cake or make your own floral arrangements (although maybe you could – everything is on YouTube these days), you should take the same mindset to the planning of your honeymoon. This is the only time you will ever have the first days together as man and wife.

So is the design of your honeymoon worth the fee of a Travel Specialist? I daresay if you are working with a true professional there most likely will be a fee and yes it will be worth it in gold.

Do you know what a Romance Travel Expert does? He or she specializes in romance travel which means they are not generalists…they are not booking every kind of travel that is available. If you had a skin condition, you could go to a family doctor but for the best treatment plan, you are likely going to a specialist. When you work with a Romance Specialist, you’re getting more specialized services.

You may have booked many trips online in the past but since you’re not an expert in this field, you may need to consider:

  • The amount of time that you will need to invest doing the needed research to address every component of your package

  • The lay of the land ….to know that you’re getting the best value

  • Are you protecting your precious vacation dollars?

  • The ability to get special touches that will make your honeymoon an experience and not an itinerary

  • Consider options that will free up your time and possibly even save you money. You may be asking how you can save money with a Travel Specialist if you pay a fee.

“There’s a difference between price and value,”

  • Your Travel Specialist will save you tons of time and zero in on the ideal options for you

  • They can often get you complimentary amenities that you may be unable to get on your own

  • They often have promotions that are not available to the public

  • The travel protection that is available through your Specialist is much more all-inclusive than what you get online when you book yourself

  • You may be unable to get “Bulk Airfare” with lower deposits

  • You are unlikely to get no-interest payment plans

When you book online, your reservation is not guaranteed until you pay in full, contrary to when a Specialist makes your reservation.

You could be “walked” when you arrive at your destination. If the resort is sold out, you could be asked to stay someplace else. When you book with your Specialist, you need not worry reservations.

They not only help you book a trip but design your ideal trip (big difference) so you don’t spend money on unneeded components or give up value
